Changes to our Courses
Due to other events being hosted in the city Flying Pig weekend, we are changing our full and half marathon courses – particularly the start and finish lines. The majority of the courses for the full and half marathon will remain the same, but the Saturday races (10K, 5K, Kids 26th Mile, PigAbilities and Flying Fur) will feature new routes. Starting times for all races remain the same.
Finish Line and Post Race Party
The finish line for all races throughout race weekend will be on Mehring Way in front of Anderson Pavilion just west of the Roebling Suspension Bridge. The new finish line offers great spectator views and is next to Smale Park where we’ll be celebrating Saturday with the Sprint Family Fun Festival and Sunday’s Michelob Ultra Victory Party. Smale Park will be a great place to celebrate your accomplishments with picturesque views of the Ohio River and downtown Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky!
Friday Night – Little Kings Mile and COIN concert
The Little Kings Mile is the second leg of the TQL Beer Series and offers a flat, fast course perfect for kicking off marathon weekend. We’ll have Skyline Chili Cheese Coneys and Christian Moerlein beer at the finish line, but the fun doesn’t stop there. The post-race party will feature a free concert open to all on Freedom Way with headliner COIN taking the stage around 9 p.m.
Toyota 10K, Tri-State Running Company 5K, Kids’ Marathon 26th Mile presented by EY, PigAbilities presented by Goodwill Industries, First Watch Piglet Fun Run and Flying Fur Run
The home of the pigskin in Cincinnati will be our Pig home as packet pickup, registration (if available), restrooms and start lines will surround Paul Brown Stadium. The 10K, 5K and Flying Fur will start on Mehring Way just south of the stadium while the Kids’ Marathon 26th Mile and PigAbilities will start on W. Freedom Way near Elm St. The Piglet races can be found in Smale Park. Registration is available for all races, but they are filling fast and we may sellout before race weekend!
Flying Pig Marathon powered by P&G, Paycor Half Marathon, CityDash 4-Person Relay and Gigsmart Corporate Relay
The start line will be moving to Elm St. just north of Freedom Way by Paul Brown Stadium eliminating the first incline on the previous course. Additional changes include using Second St. and East Pete Rose Way to get to the Taylor Southgate Bridge in the first mile and switching from 4th St. to 5th St. in Newport. At the tail end of both courses, participants will turn south on Mehring Way from East Pete Rose Way to the finish line.
Just like Saturday, we’ll be using Paul Brown Stadium’s east plaza for baggage drop, restrooms open inside the stadium as well as portable restrooms, information, medical and pre-race water. As always, plan to arrive early to complete your pre-race routine and enter your Pig Pen corrals that will stage south on Elm St. and west on Mehring Way around the stadium.
The full marathon is sold-out and the half marathon and relays are approaching capacity. Our 20th anniversary this year promises to be the biggest Pig ever! Join us for the celebrations!
