Become A Pig Pal by Sponsoring a Kid Today!

As a Flying Pig supporter, you know that crossing the “Finish Swine” in Cincinnati is a big deal! Help make that dream a reality for some well-deserving kids in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area. This year on Giving Tuesday, we invite you to become a Pig Pal and sponsor the registration fee ($15) for an entry to the Flying Pig Kids Marathon 26th Mile Event. Help us support area youth on their marathon to good health!

The Flying Pig Kids’ Marathon is an incremental marathon program for school aged children. Using a training tracker called a “Hog Log” they can tally their miles while also learning about healthy nutrition choices. It’s all about being smart, eating well and moving more; healthy habits that we hope will stick around for good. In addition, the Flying Pig Kids Marathon 26th Mile is a special 1 mile event where kids can complete the 26th mile of their incremental marathon on the actual Flying Pig Marathon course and Finish Line. While our program and materials are free, the 26th Mile event does require a registration fee.

Each year, our youth program works with over 80 schools and youth groups in the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area. Some of our groups are located in low income areas and/or experience 100% free and reduced lunch. Help us to reach more children and communities by giving $15, the equivalent of the 26th Mile registration fee!

“Give kids the truly valuable “real-life” gift of pride in themselves! It’s a meaningful, long-lasting gift. It takes time and effort to set a goal, work with others, exercise regularly, build endurance and confidence – to finally cross the Finish Swine on the first Saturday in May, with thousands of runners in downtown Cincinnati. There is “real joy” in those young athletes’ smiles framed by their Flying Pig medals, as they celebrate with families and friends! This is an event children want to participate in again and again because it is so much fun for everyone – it’s a gift they enjoy every year!”
