Laura Arnold

Cincinnati, OH

You might spot me running around downtown Cincinnati, where I’ve lived with my husband, David, for almost a decade. I love running and my various groups that have become my running family over the past few years. If we run together, we will talk about food. And probably tiki drinks. I’m an avid racer; but this will be my first try at a full marathon (after four half marathons), second time doing a Skyline Challenge and I’m a Brew Hog veteran.”

About Laura: Laura is a dedicated Pig as it will be her third time doing the half and her second time for the three-way with extra cheese. Also, she has run the beer series 3 or 4 times too (Brew Hog alert)! Laura’s friends describes her the best in these three words…colorful, spunky, and charming all in one. Laura is very involved with the Cincinnati Run Club and can often be found leading on Wednesdays from Rhinegeist. She loves the Flying Pig because the community comes together and running with the different pace groups is wonderful. Laura’s goal as an ambassador is to to represent the event well and communicate the spirit, enthusiasm, and passion that embodies the event. She wants to encourage those who are participating for the first time, making things accessible, less intimidating and helpful. Keep on the lookout for Laura with her memorable pink or blue hair!

Race in 2019: 4-Way Challenge with Extra Cheese (Little Kings Mile, 5K, 10K, Full Marathon)

What is your favorite song to listen to while working out? I have to pick just one?! That’s hard. It’s probably either A: decades old punk like Bad Religion or B: something very embarrasing like a Despacito remix.

Do you have any kids or pets? One very spoiled cat and a lot of plants (pineapples, lime tree, hot peppers, mint).

Keep an eye out for Laura at these other races: Queen Bee 4 Miler, Hudy 7K, Cheetah Run, Aruna 5k, Margarita Madness 5K, The Hunger 5K, Run the Bluegrass Half, Bockfest 5K, and the Heart Mini
