The Flying Pig Marathon values its partnerships with some 150 local and national charities. Each year, these charities raise more than $1 million to support their programs and offerings by using the Marathon as a fund-raiser.
In 2011, the Flying Pig Marathon will partner with CancerFree KIDS to raise more money for these charities. In advance of next year's race, 20,000 raffle tickets will be sold with corresponding numbers to Marathon participants' race bibs. Winning raffle numbers will be identified as the race winners cross the Finish Line. Charities will also have a major presence at the Marathon's Victory Party on race day.
