FLYING PIG MARATHON RECEIVES NATIONAL POSTER HONORS

CINCINNATI, OH - The Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon received honors from Runner's World Magazine for it's 2000 Marathon Poster. The Primo Promo winners are being announced in the February 2001 issue of the nationally renowned magazine. Cincinnati-based CoActive Marketing Group (formerly Optimum Group) was recognized for their design of the award-winning poster.

"Our goal at the Flying Pig Marathon has always been to have fun. We want participants, volunteers and sponsors alike to associate our marathon with having a good time. I think this poster designed by CoActive Marketing, along with our focused thematic approach to each Marathon, has accomplished that very goal," explained Kelly Weissmann, Executive Director of the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon.

CoActive Marketing Group has been responsible for the fun slogans and designs utilized by the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon since its Inaugural running in 1999. The winning poster from the 2000 Marathon, printed courtesy of Zumbiel Packaging, showcased the year's symbolic aeronautical pig running alongside Marathon participants. This playful flying pig was utilized in all advertising and marketing strategies for the 2000 Marathon Campaign. A similar fun and strategic approach has been taken for the 3rd Annual Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon.

The Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon was given accolades for their 2nd Annual Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon Poster along with the Bolder Boulder (Colorado) 10K and the Lilac Bloomsday 12K in Spokane, Washington.
