General Purpose of Event:
To auction off two relay teams, each having 1 celebrity on the team and 3 spots for the group purchasing the team. The money raised will be put in the pool of money the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon raises for nearly 30 local charities.

The Celebrities:
Bill Rodgers is a running legend in his own time. In the 1970's, Bill was among a few runners who helped put marathoning on the map. His charisma and passion for the sport is evident from his incredible record of races. He has won both the Boston Marathon and the New York City Marathon each four times, not to mention an array of other marathon and road race wins in a career now spanning more than three decades. He has run 28 marathons in less than 2 hours and 15 minutes. At 53, Bill still runs 25 races per year and has numerous speaking engagements all over the country. He also runs the Bill Rodgers Running Center while remaining a force in the running industry at large.
Bill will run the final leg for his relay team.

Jeff Galloway is known for being an average teenage runner who became an Olympian.
"Jeff Galloway is perhaps the one individual in the American running community who can combine a superior knowledge of our sport with the highest level of achievement - making the Olympic team," commented Bill Rodgers. Jeff Galloway is also a best-selling author and Runner's World columnist. His innovative training ideas have opened up the possibility of running and completing a marathon to almost everyone. Philosophically, Jeff believes that everyone is designed to run and walk, and he keeps finding ways to bring more people in the positive world of exercise. His low mileage run/walk training program prepares people for an incredible achievement. This program has an over 98% success rate and is the Official Training Program for the 3rd running of the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon.
Jeff will run the first leg for his relay team.
