Runners and walkers have only until Friday, January 21, to take advantage of the early registration discounts for the 7th annual Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon, to be held Sunday, May 1, 2005.

"It's a great bargain for anyone planning to take part of the full marathon or in any of the other weekend events," said Iris Simpson-Bush, executive director. "Especially since the races are expected to fill up quickly this year, it's more important than ever for participants to get their registrations in early."

On-line entries must be completed by Midnight, January 21st. Mail registrations must be postmarked by January 21st to take advantage of the discounts.

Discounted registration for the full marathon is $55, compared to $80 the weekend of the race. Other discounts good until Friday are the Half Marathon presented by National City, $45 as compared to $65 on race weekend; Papa John's 10K, $30 now, $40 on race weekend; Flying Pig 5K presented by girls!CAN, $20 now, $30 on race weekend, and the Flying Piglet Kids' Fun Run, $10 now, $15 race weekend.

This year's Flying Pig Marathon features the Kahn's Piglet Fun Run, 5K Fun Run and Family Fest presented by girls!CAN, the Papa John's 10K, the new Flying Pig Half Marathon presented by National City, the Ernst & Young 4-person relay, the Corporate Express Corporate Challenge and the full Flying Pig Marathon.

The Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon weekend events are scheduled for Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1, 2005, with the Bob Roncker's Running Spot Health and Fitness Expo scheduled for Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30 at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center, Covington, KY. Presenting sponsors are Coactive Marketing Group, Corporate Express, Ernst & Young, Mercy Health Partners, National City and Paycor.
