Welcome to Day 25 of our daily e-mail blasts to help you prepare for the 10th annual Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon events.

There are as many stories behind the Flying Pig Marathon as there are participants. Here is just a sample:

"Approximately 30 women from all across the country are running in May 4th's Flying Pig Marathon in honor of Liz Duncan, a friend and former co-worker who was killed while running in Seattle on April 21, 2007. Liz was an avid runner who worked for Athletes in Action in Xenia, Ohio, for two years before moving out to Washington and taking a job with Brooks Sports in early 2007. All 30 women will be wearing a pink shirt with Liz's picture on it along with a slogan on the front, and most of the women are on staff with Athletes in Action."

Flying Pig Night at the Ball Park

If you haven't gotten your tickets yet for Monday, May 5th's Cincinnati Reds game with the Cubs, there's still time. Fill out the online form and join your fellow Pig Participants in a march around the outfield before the game, and a special "Pig" night at Great American Ball Park!

The Greening 'o the Pig

It's estimated that every gallon of gasoline burned creates 19 pounds of CO2. That's why the Flying Pig Marathon, with the help of the Cincinnati Park Department, will plant some 4,000 trees in area, to offset the Pig's carbon 'hoofprint.' Help us make the Pig 'green' in 2008.
