The Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon will utilize the ChampionChip® for recording final times. Top five overall awards will be determined by using the official time or “gun time.” All other awards will be determined by chip time. Each runner will be assigned a ChampionChip® for the race. If you have your own personal chip, please supply this information on your entry form. No discounts available for providing your own chip. Marathon participants agree to return the chip at the end of the Marathon or pay a $35 replacement fee. ChampionChip® assignment and verification will occur during Packet Pick-Up.
What is the ChampionChip® System?
The ChampionChip® is a small timing device which runners attach to their shoe laces. It records their time automatically as they cross over various mats spread throughout the course.
