Fleet Feet

Great news for the tech-savvy pigs out there! The Kids' Marathon Hog Log is now available in an interactive format! Thanks to the support of Fleet Feet Sports, we now have an online version of the Hog Log. You can tally your miles, nutrition, and reading on our own paperless version. Individuals OR groups can keep track of their progress. Click here to set up your own sign-in and start saving those miles the "green" way.

Move More!

Hey, no fooling... we are one month away from Flying Pig Marathon Weekend! Hopefully the miles are racking up for all the Kids Marathoners and those Hog Logs are filling up with healthy nutrition choices, lots of reading and many miles of fun and fitness. We have had many Kids' Marathon groups share with us stories and pictures. Our Fleet Feet Featured Kids Marathoners come from Ruth Moyer Elementary, Hammer Athletics Cross Country Club, and Pleasant Ridge Montessori! Scroll down to see their pictures at the bottom of the email. Keep up the great work! And keep sending in your pics and stories.

Nutrition Council Eat Well

The Nutrition Council has some terrific new resources for families AND for Kids Marathon group coordinators. Learn more about these great ways to steer those youngsters on a course of life-long good eating habits.

Try all the "snacktivies" and check off those boxes on the Hog Log while pigging-out the healthy way.

Be Smart

We know exercise increases blood flow to the brain, but did you know that runners can be brilliant poets, thinking and creating while running? Beechwood School 4th grader & Kids' Marathoner Molly, shared her wonderful poem called "A Runner's World" with us. Here is an excerpt from her insightful and creative musing about what it is like when she is running.

If I believe this world will become greater,
with my magnificent legs and spectacular feet,
I can run around the world,
as many times as I can, if my feet and legs agree.
A true runner's world,
Oh how I love my stupendous legs and feet,
therefore if I believe I can run,
I can do it
