Thank you for registering to participate in the Spring Flying Pig Marathon Virtual Event. We are grateful for your support as we made the difficult decision to move Flying Pig weekend from May and co-host it with Queen Bee weekend, October 9-11. We understand that a lot of training, sweat and (maybe) tears have gone into your decision to complete your Pigventure as scheduled. Although we wish we could see you cross the Finish Swine in person, we have included instructions below and several ways that we can celebrate with you!
How do I participate in the Virtual Event?
The Flying Pig Virtual Event allows you to complete the race on your own. You will run or walk the race distance at your own pace and at a time and location of your choosing. You choose your own race day from now until June 1 and your own starting line, whether it’s a treadmill, a park or your neighborhood street. Visit the Virtual Event FAQs page on our website for answers to common questions regarding the virtual option.

Join Our Flying Pig Virtual Event on Facebook
We encourage you to join our Virtual Group on Facebook. Please continue to share your Pigventure with us by posting photos of your race day and offering encouragement to other participants. We will select 5 winners who share their race day photos on the group page to win an entry into an event of their choice for the 2021 Flying Pig Marathon, April 30-May 2.
While this is not mandatory, to submit a verified race result by June 1, 2020 we encourage you to use the free ASICS Runkeeper app.
Follow these simple instructions:
1. Download the Runkeeper App to your mobile device
2. When you’re ready to track your run(s), login to your Race Roster account using this link
3. On your mobile device, click the turquoise START VIRTUAL RUN button inside your Race Roster dashboard
4. Choose your race distance(s) within the Runkeeper app
5. Your next activity will be your tracking run so start activity or follow the email prompts from Runkeeper to get tracking
If you are unable to download the ASICS Runkeeper app or you plan to track on a different device, simply use this link and log into your Race Roster account to submit your race time.
You will be prompted to sign into your Race Roster account via email or enter your last name and confirmation number. Once your registration is confirmed, you can enter your results and the results of anyone else that was included in your initial registration. Once results have been entered, you will be able to download your finisher certificate by clicking on your name in the results.
Check out this helpful step by step guide or tutorial video for uploading your results and downloading your finisher certificate via Race Roster. If you’re tracking your virtual event with the free ASICS Runkeeper app, click here for a summary on upload ing those results (step by step instructions above).
Please note: Virtual participants are not eligible for overall or age group awards.
For issues or questions concerning the Runkeeper App and results submission please email support@
All virtual participants will receive the following as part of their registration:
We plan to mail all virtual participant premiums (shirt and medal). Arrangements are also in the works to offer in-person pick up of premium items for local participants at a later date, pending upcoming decisions regarding mandates issued by the State of Ohio. We will continue to provide updates on this option as the situation evolves and we have more information.
Due to popular demand, we are also working on ways to offer the premium bag to our virtual full, half and relay participants. We plan to make them available for pick up later this summer or will ship for an additional fee. Please stay tuned for more information.
Skyline Chili Challenge Participants: We will include your additional shirt and medal with your other amenities.

Fundraising Options for Virtual Participants
As you know, the Flying Pig is a 501(c)(3) and helps more than 300 charities raise money through our events. By choosing to complete your event virtually, you are contributing to the $1.5 million raised each year by our charity partners. Especially at this time, each charity dollar means so much, and we thank you on behalf of each group that uses the Flying Pig as a fundraiser.
Virtual participants have the additional option to create a pledge page through their Race Roster account for an affiliated charity of their choice. This pledge page can be easily customized and shared via social media. For more details on how to create a pledge page and help raise money for a Flying Pig Charity, please visit this link.
Rules and Regulations
The Flying Pig Marathon weekend will now occur at the location and time of your choice between now and June 1. Pig Works is not responsible for your safety while running virtually. We specifically request that you do not use any of our race date routes as they are not pedestrian safe without the usual street closures and police assistance with traffic. Please also adhere to the physical distancing mandates and guidelines in your area and do not attempt a group run.
Thank you again for participating in Flying Pig Marathon, powered by P&G, as part of a virtual event in 2020! We’ll keep you updated on all things Flying Pig and hope to see you at one of our start lines again soon!
