About Ellen: Ellen and her husband moved to Cincinnati with their two pups in 2018 and have loved being a part of the running community here. She is a third grade Spanish immersion teacher who went from, as she puts it, a non-running marching band nerd to Boston marathoner after many years of training and dedication.

Special pre-race ritual: My biggest ritual is race morning fuel! I have a double espresso, two oatmeals and a banana.
Advice for Queen Bee participants: This course has some tough hills right at the start. Don’t push the pace up the hills and just stay calm and hang tight. You will make up the time and energy during the downhills later on!
