Sign up now for FCC3 and Queen Bee Events!
Just because Flying Pig weekend is over, doesn’t mean you have to head back to the couch! There are
lots of opportunities to still be part of Pig Works events throughout the year.
The next event is the FCC3 presented by Medpace, a three-mile friendly event on Saturday, June 18,
with a watch party to follow. The FCC3 will start with a 3-mile walk/run followed by the TQL Watch Party
at TQL Stadium as FC Cincinnati takes on Philadelphia Union that night on the road. Registration for the
event opens May 19th —visit www.fccrace.com for more information.
In the fall is the Queen Bee Half Marathon and Medpace Queen Bee 4 Miler on Saturday, October 8. The
Queen Bee Half Marathon is on a mission: to promote the fun of fitness while raising support and funds
for local charities that focus on women. Race weekend will include plenty of pampering, swag, and
fun—the perfect ingredients for a great girls’ weekend. Or you can choose to do the Medpace Queen
Bee 4 Miler and still enjoy the run or walk through Cincinnati with your friends. Visit
www.queenbeehalf.com to register—it always sells out so sign up today!
And then don’t forget the third leg of the TQL Beer Series, the Hudepohl 14K/7K on Oktoberfest
weekend. You can’t be a Brew Hog without doing all three Beer Series events (Bockfest 5K and Fifty
West Mile) so if you’ve done the first two, sign up for the third! www.runbeerseries.com has all your
information to sign up.

Givaudan, the global leader in the creation of flavors and fragrances with facilities in Cincinnati, is joining the Pig Works team of corporate partners as a Queen Bee sponsor for 2021 and a presenting sponsor for the Snout & Stinger Challenge for both Flying Pig and Queen Bee participants.
To complete the Snout and Stinger Challenge presented by Givaudan, participants must complete one eligible event from the Flying Pig weekend powered by P&G, including the full marathon, Paycor Half Marathon, Toyota 10K or Tri State Running Company 5K, and one eligible Queen Bee event, including the Queen Bee Half Marathon empowered by P&G and Kroger, and MedPace 4 Miler. Participants can split up the events between spring and fall, or do both in the fall. Any combination is accepted. Exclusive Snout and Stinger Challenge medals will be sent out with the fall virtual event items.
In collaboration with local officials, Pig Works has concluded that in-person events cannot safely be held this spring and will remain virtual. A combined in-person Flying Pig and Queen Bee weekend is slated for October 29-31, pending approval from local and state officials. Click the photo for more details.
We know you are eager to get back to in-person running and walking events. We are right there with you! While today we have announced that the Bockfest 5K, scheduled for March 6, will not have an in-person option, please know that we are committed and working diligently to host in-person Pig Works events in 2021. Safety and security for all is our primary focus. As soon as we receive approvals from governing agencies, we will enthusiastically share all the details. In the meantime, all Pig Works events are still being offered virtually, with early registrants earning the first option to switch to in-person. Let’s keep moving Forever Forward together!

It is with sadness and a heavy heart that the Board of Directors and staff of Pig Works have decided to cancel our remaining in-person 2020 events, including the Flying Pig Marathon and Queen Bee Half Marathon weekends and the Hudepohl 14K/7K Brewery Run.
We invite our participants to complete the events virtually, as your support is vital to the ongoing success of our non-profit organization. Registrants of each of the fall events will receive an email by July 10 detailing their options for participation, including a fun and engaging virtual experience, deferral to a future year or donating their registration fee.

The entire Pig Works staff, Board of Directors and I were saddened to learn this week that the 124th running of the Boston Marathon will be cancelled this year and will transition to a virtual event over concerns for participants’ health and safety. While we know this was a tough decision for race director Dave McGillivray and his team, we realize it was the right one as individual states and municipalities work to keep everyone safe.
As you know, our 2020 Flying Pig weekend was moved from the first weekend in May to Queen Bee weekend, October 9-11. As of now, we continue to plan for our dual events as we wait for further direction from Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and city of Cincinnati officials on what health directives will be in place then.
We will continue to keep our participants, partners, volunteers and sponsors updated on our plans for the rest of the year, including the upcoming Hudepohl 14K/7K, part of the TQL Beer Series. We wish you all good health, safe training and all the best from the Flying Pig.
