It’s hard to believe that 2019 is here! It seems like it was just last week that we were celebrating the 20th running of the Flying Pig weekend, and here we are well under way with planning for the 21st edition of the Pig.
Before we jump into next year, though, we want to take a moment to thank all of you for making 2018 such a success. Click here to view a letter from our Executive Director, Iris Simpson Bush.
This Giving Tuesday, become a Pig Pal by sponsoring the registration fees for children and communities that face financial barriers to participation. Help us support area youth on their marathon to good health by donating $15 or $25, the equivalent to the 26th Mile or youth 5K event registration fee. We are more than excited to launch our 2019 theme with you! We’ve been flying for 20 years and we know that Flying Pig Marathon weekend is so much #MoreThanAMarathon to this community. Over the next several months, we’ll be sharing stories from participants, volunteers, staff and other Pig friends to showcase the energy of the Flying Pig Marathon. Would you like to submit your story, with a chance to be featured on our social channels? You can submit your story by clicking here.
