Everything You Need to Know for the Bock Beer 5K
The Bock Beer 5K, presented by The Banks, is this Saturday, March 2nd, 10AM, at The Banks! Online registration closes Wednesday, February 28th at 11:59PM. Additional sign ups can be executed at the packet pick up times and locations listed below.
Packet Pick-Up & Wrist-banding
You may pick up your race packet during the dates and times listed below, on the First Floor of the Gateway West Office Park (644 Linn Street, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45203). There is free parking at the front and back of the building. Follow the signs upon entry into the building.
Thursday, February 29th
4:30pm - 6:30pm
Friday, March 1st
8:30am - 6:30pm
We will be checking IDs and offering wrist banding for the event at packet pick-up, or you can wait until race morning.
Can you pick up a packet for your friend, spouse, or beer buddy?
If you're that nice, we'll let you. Just have a copy of their ID handy – a printed copy or a photo on your phone is fine! You will not be able to pick up a wristband for your friend.
Race Day Packet Pick-Up - March 2nd, 2024
Race day packet pick-up will begin at 8:30am at Jefferson Social. (101 E Freedom Way, Cincinnati, OH 45202)
Race Day Parking
Cincinnati Riverfront Garage (CRG) will be open and charging regular rates. Additional parking is available along the Streetcar route and riding the Streetcar is free! Streetcar stop #1 is a short 5-minute walk to and from Bock Beer 5K festivities.
Gear Check
Look for the yellow school buses located in front of the Freedom Center on E. Freedom Way. Items must be in a clear plastic bag (provided at packet pick-up and on-site). Affix the tab from your bib to the clear plastic bag containing your checked items.
Bags must be picked up by 11:30am.
IDs
Please have your ID available at packet pick-up, before or after the race so you can get your hands on a cold beer!
Money
Bring cash or a credit card to purchase additional food and drink at bars and restaurants at The Banks.
Timing Chip
The disposable timing chip will be affixed to your race bib. Please do not alter or remove it. For those participating in the TQL Beer Series, a finish time is needed to be eligible for Brew Hog status. You can scan the QR code located on your bib after the race to see your finish time.
Course Info
The Bock Beer 5K course starts and ends at The Banks on E. Freedom Way near Taste of Belgium.
On-site race day packet pick-up, start/finish lines, and the post-race party are all within easy walking distance from one another.
Fluid Station
There will be a fluid station approximately 1 mile into the course as you enter the Taylor Southgate Bridge and head into Newport Kentucky. Volunteers will be serving both Culligan Water and HOIST to keep you hydrated.
Finish Line
After you cross the finish line, there will be plenty of Culligan Water and HOIST, powerful IV-level hydration. Grab one of each and make your way to the post-race party to celebrate your victory with an ice-cold beer! Redeem the tickets on your bib for Fifty West Brewing Co. beer in the finish line area and in the pedestrian block by Great American Ball Park.
Awards will be presented at the finish to the overall top three males and females, determined by gun time.
Post-Race
This year’s post-race celebration will take place at The Banks between the Finish Line and the Great American Ball Park. Be sure to stop by the Skyline Chili tent to redeem your bib ticket for a delicious Cheese Coney! Another location to redeem your drink tickets for Fifty West Brewing beer is located near Great American Ball Park. There will also be a goat petting zoo provided by Good Green Earth Farm.
