Katie Hallan is the Back-to-Back Queen Bee Champion
For the second year in a row, Cincinnati native Katie Hallahan took home the crown in the Queen Bee Half Marathon, championed by Medpace, held Saturday, October 10, in a time of 1:20:36. Hallahan, 33, now has three wins in the event, having won for the first time in 2023. Second in the event, also for the second year in a row, was Daniella Townsend, 33, of Cincinnati, in 1:20:56. Placing third was Rachel Esposito, 22, of Lebanon, Ohio in a time of 1:22:11.
The Queen Bee weekend is a familiar stop for both Hallahan and Townsend. Hallahan placed fifth in the half marathon in 2022 and second in the event in 2024. Townsend was fourth in the 2023 Medpace 4 Miler and third in the 2024 Queen Bee Half.
In the first ever handcycle division of the Queen Bee Half Marathon, Lydia Yax, 26, came in first with a time of 1:33:04, Mikiahya Green, 24, was second with 1:34:11, and Nicole Boggs, 28, was third with 1:37:17.
In the 2026 4-Miler, Taylor Ewert, 24, of Cincinnati won in a time of 22:35, nearly two minutes better than the previous event best time of 24:14 by Kate Elson, set in 2017. Second was Grace Norman, 28, of Bloomington, Indiana, in 24:17 and third was Sophia DeLisio, 25, of Covington, Kentucky, in 24:35.
A sold-out field of nearly 5,500 runners and walkers participated in the 13th annual Queen Bee Weekend championed by Medpace. The Queen Bee Weekend events support female-centric charities and non-profits throughout Greater Cincinnati and the region.
