We’re Number One! Flying Pig’s Paycor Half Marathon Voted America’s Favorite
After a month-long bracket-style vote, the Flying Pig Paycor Half Marathon has been chosen America’s favorite half marathon event, according to raceraves.com.
The Paycor Half Marathon began the 64-event tournament as the #2 seed in the Midwest Region, defeating #15 seeded Running with the Cows, then in the second round defeated the Madison Mini to advance to the Sweet 16.
In the next round the Paycor Half Marathon beat the Garmin Olathe Half in the Land of Oz, 69% to 31%, then reached the Final Four by defeating Grandma’s Garry Bjorkland Half by the same margin.
In the Final Four voting, the Flying Pig Paycor Half advanced over the Great Smoky Mountains Half, 65% to 35%, and in a tight contest in the finals, the Paycor Half was voted America’s Favorite, 54% to 46% over the Glacier Half.

The full Flying Pig Marathon has won previous March Lunacy titles from RaceRaves earning honors as America’s Rave Race in 2017 and 2019. The Pig has also received other top runners choice awards. Runners at BibRaves voted the Flying Pig Marathon the country’s favorite full marathon in 2020, along with awards for the Top 10 Best Themed Race in the U.S., Top 10 Best WeekendExperience in the U.S. and the Green Lion Award for races committed to expanding and maintaining
