The Flying Pig Marathon will not be held in person on May 1-3, 2020. If you’re a registered participant, you should have an email with the options available or you can view them here. If you’re interested in participating in our virtual Flying Pig Marathon this spring or the rescheduled event weekend on Oct. 9-11, 2020, registration will be re-opening for both options soon.
Packet Pickup will be held at the P&G Health & Fitness Expo located in the Duke Energy Convention Center on Friday, October 9 for a limited amount of time and on-site before the race.

- old enough to be around other dogs and people (at least 6 months of age)
- able to walk 2 miles
- able to do well on-leash (no retractable leashes allowed) and is not overly aggressive toward other dogs
- friendly toward humans and not excessively fearful
- able to mix with a big crowd
- Vaccination Requirements
All registered humans will receive a shirt, limited-edition poster, and virtual goodie bag.
Registered dogs will receive a Flying Fur themed souvenir.
All finishers will receive a medal, mylar blanket, and finish-area refreshments. Finisher’s certificates will be available to download after the race.
Baggage claim is not available for Saturday events.
Water is available for humans and dogs at the start, halfway point and finish.
Overall prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers, determined by gun time.
