Frequently Asked Questions
No, this is an untimed event designed to let you, the participant, enjoy and experience the first look at BLINK, Illuminated by ArtsWave.
For the safety of participants, we will be assigning participants into waves based on how they intend to participate. Participants looking to strictly race the event will be in corral A, those looking to run but stop and enjoy the installations will be in corral B, and those who will be making the most of 2.6 mile course will be in corral C. There will be several waves within each corral to allow for the safe flow of participants.
In the spirit of the creativity and artistry of BLINK, we encourage participants to dress in their best illuminated attire. Commemorative shirts and merchandise will be available for purchase at the event. Once they cross the finish line, participants will receive a finisher’s medal to celebrate this bright event.
Details are being finalized but what we can tell you is to expect a fun 2.6 mile journey beginning and ending at Elm Street Plaza. Parts of the route will go through parks and be on sidewalks (be ready to step over a curb or two). Interaction with some installations will require participants to leave the course – which is encouraged!
All ages are welcome at BLINK: Run the Night
